Now Playing for Traktor Pro
Traktor Pro on screen. Automatically.
Traktor's broadcast output carries your track metadata to Now Playing in real time. One preferences change and you're live.

How it connects
How Now Playing reads Traktor Pro
Traktor doesn't expose now-playing data through files or plugins, so Now Playing listens to Traktor's built-in broadcast output and reads the metadata portion of the stream. It's a one-time setup in Traktor's preferences; after that, every track you load is captured the moment you play it.
From there it's the same everywhere: tracks flow to your overlay, Twitch chat, files, and every other output the moment they go on air.
What works
- Traktor Pro 3 and 4, all current versions
- Any Traktor-compatible controller or mixer
- Real-time track changes from the broadcast stream
Known limits
- Broadcast metadata carries title and artist (BPM and key stay in Traktor)
- Traktor and Now Playing must be on the same network
Setup
Three steps, then forget it's there
- 1
Download Now Playing free and open it
- 2
Point Traktor's broadcast output at Now Playing (the guide has the exact settings)
- 3
Add the overlay to OBS and play
The overlay updates itself for the rest of the set.
VIDEO (60–90s, muted with burned-in captions, poster frame): screen recording of the whole Traktor Pro setup, done once at real speed — open Now Playing, connect Traktor Pro with the exact settings visible on screen, add the overlay to OBS, then play a track and watch the overlay fill in by itself. Ends on the live overlay, no narration needed.
