Built by DJs, for DJs

Now Playing started as a side project to scratch a personal itch: every DJ stream we watched had a different workaround for showing the current track. Some used screen-grabs. Some had a friend type tracks into chat. Most just didn't bother, and their chats kept asking anyway.

The studio

Now Playing is built by Triode, a small, independent software studio for the live-streaming and live-performance world. We're working DJs and software engineers, and we ship the kind of software we wish existed when we first started streaming. Alongside Now Playing, the team contributes to open-source projects in the live-performance space and consults for festivals, broadcasters, and venues.

What we believe

Software for working DJs should be invisible when it's doing its job. It should connect quickly, stay out of the way, and never break mid-set. We design every release against that bar.

Where we're going

Now Playing is in active development, with new integrations, themes, and platform support shipping regularly. The changelog tracks every release.
